Benefits Of Our CSA

There are many different reasons why a CSA will benefit you, here are some of the highlighted reasons that stand out to us.

• Supporting a local farmer supports your local economy. Local farmers create jobs, buy supplies at local businesses, buy from other local farmers with very similar growing and handling practices when yields are low, and much more.
• Knowing where and how your produce has been grown and handled. We have been properly trained in FISMA which is Food Safety practices that helps to eliminate and risks that may come with raising and handling produce. By supporting our CSA you know that your produce is local and you are the only consumer that has handled your fruits and vegetables.
• Eating Healthy. Most of us eat a fair amount of fruits and vegetables, but we all have room for growth. Once you have a CSA you will have most of the essentials and also possibly items that you may not have tried before. In the end, you are expanding your palate and consuming more nutritions fruits and vegetables.
• Flavor! Our past of selling produce in retail ensures that we know how important flavor is. Most of our produce is picked 1-2 days before delivery and is picked at the proper ripeness to achieve flavor instead of shelf-life.
• Convenience. Most of us in today’s world have busy schedules and any time that we have off would rather be spent with friends and family. Box deliveries right to your porch or at a pick up location need you will help to keep your time where it needs to be.

Choose Your Size, we will be offering Full Size Shares and Half Size Shares!

Half Size- Great for 1-2+ people will include 4-6 varieties of items each week

Full Size– Great for 2-4+ people will include 6-9 varieties of items each week

As of right now, CSA shares for home delivery will be limited to Berrien, Cass County or Granger, Indiana area residents  After we close sign ups, delivery dates will be determined.

A pick up point a the Wheaton Farmers Market is an option for Illinois residents.
